The characteristic "bubble back" case has a domed case back, which housed the rotor system of the automatic movement at the time. The diameter is approx. 32 mm and the dial is protected by Plexiglas. The watch is powered by the self-winding Rolex Caliber 630, which is also chronometer-certified. The "Bubble Back" was one of the first automatic wristwatches from Rolex and made a significant contribution to establishing the brand. The domed case back is a characteristic distinguishing feature. This is a vintage watch with collector's value.
